BTCCSquare news:

Swift has successfully concluded a groundbreaking pilot on digital asset interoperability, partnering with BNP Paribas Securities Services, Intesa Sanpaolo, and Société Générale's blockchain arm, FORGE. The trial showcased seamless issuance, exchange, settlement, and servicing of tokenized bonds across both traditional finance systems and blockchain platforms.

The collaboration Leveraged FORGE's digital asset platform and its euro-denominated stablecoin, EURCV, to test critical capital markets processes. These included delivery-versus-payment settlement of tokenized bonds, interest payouts, and redemption procedures—all while supporting both fiat and stablecoin payments.

This development follows Swift's recent work with chainlink and UBS Asset Management, further demonstrating how tokenized assets can connect to existing payment rails. Institutional players like BNP Paribas and Intesa Sanpaolo validated blockchain's potential by performing traditional custodial and paying agent roles within the tokenized asset framework.
